The Adidas Samba was born out of necessity. In post-war Germany, soccer players needed a shoe that could withstand the harsh winter conditions while maintaining performance. Adidas founder, Adi Dassler, took on the challenge and created a shoe with a unique gum sole that offered excellent traction. The distinctive three stripes on the side became a hallmark of the brand, while the leather upper provided durability and style. The Samba quickly gained popularity not only among athletes but also among casual wearers who appreciated its timeless design.
